Gabriel Bortoleto showed optimism for the Formula 1 Dutch GP after qualifying this Saturday (22). The Brazilian said he believes a fight for the points zone is possible.

Zandvoort has served as the stage for the resumption of the 2026 season and the weekend comes in Sprint format. In the earlier race, the Brazilian finished in ninth place, and in qualifying he achieved the same starting position, starting from the fifth row.
Therefore, evaluating both the pace in the race and the performance in the time trials, the Audi driver believes that a top-10 in Formula 1 in the Netherlands is an achievable goal. “I think today’s Sprint race showed that we have good pace, even though the Alpine in front had new tires,” he told SporTV.

“We had a good start, so if tomorrow we can replicate that and stay there, or even gain a position at the start, from Lawson, I think it will be an interesting race that will allow us to fight for points,” he continued.
“So, let’s see, focus tonight, the day is not over, now we have to understand what to do tomorrow, strategy, best possible situation, when to stop and not stop and see from there,” he concluded.
