The British driver assessed the performance and challenges faced during the session: “Overall, I think P6 is a reasonable starting position for tomorrow, considering some of the issues we had before the qualifying session. I’m not satisfied with P6, and I believe P3 was possible, given that we lost performance after hitting debris on the track. But having lost a lot of time in FP1 yesterday, along with some other challenges we’ve faced so far this weekend, it’s not a bad starting position. We’re in the thick of the fight, which was where we wanted to be, so let’s prepare for tomorrow and focus on doing our best to move forward,” he said.
Despite the initial difficulties, Norris maintains the expectation of progress throughout the race. Sixth position puts the driver in a strategic situation to try to recover and fight for important points, especially on a circuit that offers overtaking opportunities and will require good tire and energy management.
