Max Verstappen’s new contract with Red Bull Racing includes agreements that will not be publicly disclosed. The information was confirmed by Jos Verstappen, former Formula 1 driver and father of the four-time world champion, after the renewal that will keep the driver with the team at least until the end of 2030.

Before the announcement, the Dutchman’s stay was even questioned due to the possibility of a transfer to another team. There was a performance-related clause that could allow Verstappen to leave, but he decided to continue betting on Red Bull’s project.
Jos told Formule1 that there is confidence that the team will produce a car capable of winning again, although he stressed that this still needs to be proven on the track: “Naturally, agreements were made regarding this in the contract. We know what these agreements are, Red Bull knows, and we will not disclose them,” he said.

According to the driver’s father, stability was also considered important for Red Bull to regain competitiveness and maintain internal harmony: “Max wants a car with which he can win. That confidence exists. The most important thing right now is for calm to return to this aspect,” he added.
Jos also highlighted the work of manager Raymond Vermeulen and Oliver Mintzlaff from Red Bull during the negotiations. For him, the main factor behind the renewal was the trust between the parties: “The most important argument is that there is mutual trust. Otherwise, of course, we would not have signed the contract,” he concluded.
