Franco Colapinto revealed that he was a victim of a robbery during his vacation in Italy. The Alpine Formula 1 driver shared the episode on social media and kept a good sense of humor when commenting on the loss of his belongings.

During the current August break, the Argentine posted a message on his Instagram stories last Thursday, August 6, recounting the incident. Colapinto took the opportunity to make a joke involving his origin and mate, a traditional Argentine drink.

“Who would have thought that Europeans would steal everything from a Latino. Please, they didn’t even leave the mate gourd. I’m sure they won’t like mate,” wrote the driver.

Besides the story on his stories, Colapinto also posted a series of photos on his profile. In the caption, the Argentine again mentioned the items taken in the robbery: “Last photos of these clothes, the mate, and everything else. I hope whoever has this enjoys it!!” he concluded, showing good humor despite the incident.
The Alpine driver did not specify exactly where or when the robbery happened in Italy. Colapinto also did not reveal if he filed a police report after the episode.
