Rafael Câmara prefers to set aside rumors about a possible seat at Haas in the 2027 Formula 1 season, while focusing his efforts on the title fight in Formula 2. The Brazilian, who competes for Invicta Racing, has gained momentum as a candidate to reach F1 thanks to his strong performance in the current season.

With the calendar break for the August holidays, teams and drivers are starting to define their plans for 2027. In this scenario, Câmara’s name has become associated with a possible opportunity as a full-time F1 driver, but the Brazilian driver understands that his results in F2 will be decisive.
In an interview with F2, Câmara acknowledged that the speculations are positive, but said he does not intend to let them distract him: “It’s good to see that. You really don’t know at the moment, but it’s good to have that and see that the dream is close,” he said.
The Brazilian emphasized, however, that he needs to prioritize the current season: “At the same time, you don’t want to get too involved in that because I’m still in a very important championship, and if you do well, you’ll probably have a chance. So, on my part, I’m really focused on this year,” he added.

Câmara also highlighted the importance of the opportunity he has in F2 and the possibility of fighting for the title: “Not many people have this opportunity, especially being in a team that is one of the best in Formula 2 and having the chance to fight for the championship. So, I just want to make the most of it and make sure I’m enjoying every moment,” concluded the young Brazilian.
A member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, the 21-year-old driver has been linked to Haas due to the technical partnership between the American team and Ferrari, as well as the history of using young drivers connected to the Italian manufacturer. Recent speculations suggest that Ferrari could exert influence to place Câmara at Haas in 2027, potentially as a replacement for Esteban Ocon.
