Galid Osman started the Cuiabá stage of NASCAR Brasil among the top positions. In the first free practice held this Thursday, under artificial light, the driver finished in fourth place on the circuit making its debut in the category’s calendar.

The result maintains Galid’s good momentum, who arrives at the weekend after a remarkable victory at Velocitta. The driver also highlighted the recent positive record and stated he is confident to seek a good position in qualifying.
“I think it was a very good day, we finished fourth in the practice and we come with a good record after the victory at Velocitta and our performance on the Curvelo oval last year and I am confident that we will fight for this pole,” said Galid Osman.
Ricardo Zonta had a more complicated session on the new NASCAR Brasil track. The driver of car #10 finished the free practice in 17th place, in an activity affected by a red flag that interrupted much of the session. Zonta completed only four laps, while Galid Osman completed nine laps.

The Cuiabá stage marks the debut of the Mato Grosso circuit in NASCAR Brasil with a fully night schedule. The highlight of the weekend will be the Night Challenge, with two races totaling 100 miles and closing the round’s activities.
On Friday, Galid Osman and Ricardo Zonta return to the track for the second free practice and qualifying, which will have a sprint race for the top six drivers. The main races will be held on Saturday, with live broadcasts on the category’s official channels on YouTube, Disney+, and ESPN.
