“We tried something different and had some new sets of tires available, but even that didn’t make much difference in our race. We pushed as hard as we could, but that’s the reality of our current situation; there’s no escaping it, and the only way to solve it is by bringing more performance to the car. Sometimes, the feeling while driving isn’t the best, but you can still have pace and get a result; however, the current feeling in the car isn’t good, and the performance reflects that,” he continued.

“Fortunately, the summer break comes at a good time, which means fewer races where points are at stake and gaps can be opened. We know new parts are on the way and we hope the updates bring the performance we desire. Other teams have already shown that this is possible, and we need to follow the same path. It’s important that we make these improvements, and quickly; otherwise, our lives will be difficult if we want to regain fifth place in the championship,” he concluded.

“We will analyze this with the team. We go into the break knowing that we need to continue working hard. In the last races before today, we scored points, but we need to improve. Aston Martin has shown that it’s possible to make a big leap in performance, and we hope to do the same soon when we bring updates.
