Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Antonelli were summoned by the FIA stewards after the qualifying session for the Formula 1 Hungarian GP. The two drivers are being investigated for distinct incidents that occurred during Q3.

Hamilton secured second position on the starting grid, finishing just 0.012s behind Lando Norris, who took pole position. However, the Ferrari driver came under investigation for a suspected blocking incident on Oscar Piastri at Turn 1 during the decisive phase of qualifying.
Antonelli, on the other hand, is being investigated for a possible yellow flag infringement in Q3. The incident occurred after Max Verstappen spun at the last corner of the circuit in the final moments of the session.

The Mercedes driver finished qualifying in fourth position. The team, in turn, saw its streak of poles in the 2026 season come to an end, as it failed to place any of its cars in the first position on the grid for the first time this championship.
Furthermore, George Russell faced problems during qualifying. The Briton had to stop his car on track and finished only in seventh place on the grid for Sunday’s race.
