Gabriel Bortoleto finished 11th in the final free practice session of the Formula 1 Hungarian GP. This Saturday morning (25), the driver set a lap of 1min19s338 to be on the verge of entering the top-10.

When the practice began and the clock started at Hungaroring, Gabriel did not go out initially, like most of the field. In the first few minutes, he remained in the Audi garage without starting the session.
With almost 15 minutes of practice running, the first cars actually started to go out onto the track. However, the Brazilian in car #5 still remained stopped in the pits.
A few moments later, Gabriel finally joined his rivals on the track. As usual, the first lap was an installation and tire warm-up lap before setting a fast lap. At this point, Nico Hülkenberg was the fastest in the field with 1min20s643.
With 39 minutes remaining, Bortoleto was in ninth place on medium tires and had set 1min21s480 when the session had to be red-flagged due to overheating in Sergio Pérez’s rear brakes.
Six minutes later, the track was once again cleared. Obviously, Bortoleto didn’t take long to go out on track and at this point, he was just over 2s4 behind Lando Norris, who was the fastest.

Bortoleto was gradually attempting to improve his lap times, but the Audi duo was on medium tires to save the softs, thinking about a race strategy. With just over 11 minutes remaining in the session, the Brazilian was 13th.
Now on the red, soft compound, Gabriel managed to improve his time further and was in 11th place, just behind Hülkenberg, with 1min19s338.
In the final phase of the session, Bortoleto was in the pits without improving his time. The Brazilian was just over 1s3 behind Norris, who had returned to first place.
With the final free practice session before qualifying concluded, Gabriel Bortoleto finished in 11th place. Now, the F1 Hungarian GP qualifying takes place at 11 am Brasília time.
