Lewis Hamilton ended Friday satisfied with Ferrari’s performance in free practice for the Hungarian GP. The seven-time Formula 1 champion stated that the team managed to evolve throughout the day and believes there is still potential to be explored before the decisive activities in Budapest.

The Briton’s positive assessment came after a day marked by challenging conditions at the Hungaroring circuit. Constant winds and asphalt irregularities made the drivers’ work difficult, requiring continuous adaptation throughout the sessions.
Even with these difficulties, Hamilton highlighted that the car showed significant improvement between FP1 and FP2. According to him, Ferrari managed to find important advances in the car’s setup, although some aspects still require the team’s attention.
“It was a consistent day overall. The conditions were quite challenging, with the wind making things a bit complicated and the track looking quite bumpy in some sections,” he stated.
The British driver highlighted that the feeling behind the wheel was more positive in the second session of the day: “The car felt better in FP2 and we made good progress between the sessions, although there are still some areas we need to improve,” he said.

Hamilton explained that Ferrari’s work will continue overnight, focusing on analyzing the information collected on track. The goal is to refine the car’s setup and seek more performance for the remainder of the Hungarian GP weekend.
“We will analyze all the data overnight, continue working on the car’s balance and, hopefully, find a bit more performance for tomorrow,” concluded the Briton.
With a Friday considered positive by the experienced driver, Ferrari arrives on Saturday in a favorable position. Even so, Hamilton made it clear that the team does not intend to slow down its development pace and will continue to seek improvements to maximize its potential in Hungary.
