Even competing in his debut season in Formula 1 and already scoring points in the championship, Arvid Lindblad still cannot legally drive on the roads of the United Kingdom. The Racing Bulls driver revealed that he has finally started the process to obtain his driver’s license and said he took his first driving lesson.

The revelation was made during a participation in the Sky Sports Cricket broadcast, covering the First One Day International between England and India, in Edgbaston. The Briton stated that he has already passed the theoretical test and now took another step towards obtaining the full license: “It’s a bit sad I don’t have my license,” he said.
“It was funny for a while, and now it’s getting kind of silly, so I’m working on it. “I had my first driving lesson yesterday, so that’s it, I need to sort this out.”

Lindblad currently ranks 11th in the Formula 1 World Championship, with 20 points earned in the first 10 races of his career in the category.
