The Interlagos Racetrack hosts this weekend, from May 29 to 31, the third stage of the 2026 NASCAR Brazil season. Among the drivers arriving in search of prominence is Jorge Martelli, who tries to turn the consistency shown in recent races into a standout result at the Sonic Grand Prix.

Driving the Chevrolet Camaro #87 from Team RC, the two-time champion of the category assesses that the championship is experiencing a greater technical balance compared to previous seasons. For him, competitiveness has increased with the evolution of the teams and the arrival of new names on the grid: “The championship is very fast and competitive. The technical level has risen a lot. Each team is seeking the finest possible setup,” says Martelli.
At 41 years old, the driver faces the race in São Paulo as one of the most demanding on the calendar. The Interlagos layout is 4,309 meters long, with 11 turns and elevation changes that usually require physical endurance and precision from the competitors throughout the weekend.
With experience on the circuit, Martelli believes that consistency could be decisive to reach a place among the top finishers. “I hope to maintain consistency and that we get the best car setup on this track. Our focus is productivity, and RC has been doing a brilliant job,” he highlights.

After the stage held in Cascavel, Team RC made adjustments and revisions to the car for the rest of the season. According to the driver, the goal remains to stay competitive and close to the leading positions. “The team did a thorough review. Now it’s time to stay focused. The goal is always to be up front,” he adds.
The schedule for the Interlagos stage includes free practice, qualifying, Sprint Race, and two main races on Sunday. The organization expects a large audience presence at the main stage of Brazilian motorsport. The NASCAR Brazil stage will be broadcast live on ESPN and Disney+, as well as on the category’s official YouTube channel.
