Lewis Hamilton once again dismissed rumors about a possible retirement from Formula 1 and assured that he will continue competing in the coming years. At 41 years old and in his 20th season in the category, the seven-time world champion stated that he is motivated and fully focused on his time at Ferrari.

After a first year without podiums, Hamilton is experiencing a recovery in his second season with the team led by Fred Vasseur. The Briton also expressed satisfaction with the new technical phase of F1, as he has never hidden his discomfort with the previous generation of cars.
With a contract valid until 2027, the driver directly addressed speculations about his future: “Yes, I still have a contract, so everything is 100% clear to me,” Hamilton told the press.
“I remain focused, I remain motivated, I still love what I do with all my heart, and I will be around for a long time, so get used to it.”

Hamilton also responded to criticism from F1 figures such as Bernie Ecclestone and Ralf Schumacher, who have suggested his retirement.
“There are many people trying to retire me, and that doesn’t even cross my mind,” said the driver, who is competing this weekend in the Canadian GP alongside Charles Leclerc for Ferrari.
