Cadillac’s debut in Formula 1 in the 2026 season, after conducting important pre-season tests with increasing performance, marks a significant moment in the team’s history. During preparations for the Australian GP to be held on March 08, the team achieved several milestones in the testing program, accumulating more than 4.200 km covered, the equivalent of more than twelve GPs.

Graeme Lowdon, team principal, commented: “Cadillac’s debut in Formula 1 is one of the proudest moments of my career. Getting here was a great challenge, and I am immensely grateful to everyone involved. But the Australian GP is just the beginning of this journey, and our focus is on building long-term success. I am pleased with our progress in Barcelona and Bahrain, and we are already bringing the first updates to the car this coming weekend. We have bold ambitions, but we are realistic, committed and respectful of the challenge ahead,” he said.
With drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez at the helm, who together total an impressive 526 races, 106 podiums and 16 victories in Formula 1, Cadillac seeks to establish the foundations for a successful future. Perez spoke about the importance of the debut: “It is an honor to be in Australia this weekend, making history with Cadillac. Being part of this rookie team has been one of the biggest highlights of my career so far. The atmosphere within the team is very positive, and we are progressing together. We should be proud of what we have already achieved. I can’t wait to go to the track,” he added.

Bottas also shared his enthusiasm: “This Australian GP is different from all others. I always love coming to Melbourne, but this time, arriving to make history with Cadillac, makes everything even more special. The support of the Australians will make this weekend even more unforgettable. I am very proud of the team’s hard work during pre-season testing and the many months that brought us here. This is just the beginning of our journey, but we are already moving forward, and I can’t wait to race,” he completed.
