The Gilles Villeneuve circuit is known for combining long straights and heavy braking zones with narrow and technical sections, requiring a balance between top speed and stability in quick direction changes. Additionally, the famous “Wall of Champions” remains one of the most emblematic and treacherous points in Formula 1.
The Canadian GP also often provides unpredictable races, frequently influenced by safety cars, varied strategies, and weather changes throughout the weekend.
The Canadian round will also continue the adaptations made by the FIA and Formula 1 to the sporting regulations for 2026. After the first races of the season, the category made targeted adjustments to the technical and sporting package, aiming to improve the balance of the battles without deeply altering the concept of the new generation of cars.

The 2026 Canadian Grand Prix race will be held on Sunday, May 24, with a total of 70 laps, featuring a Sprint weekend format.
