Christian Horner revealed what he has been doing since leaving Red Bull after the British GP in July 2025. The Brit was dismissed from the position of team principal and CEO of the Austrian team to make way for Laurent Mekies, but he is already free to take on a new challenge in Formula 1.

While evaluating the future, Horner has been following other motorsport categories. Earlier this year, he was at MotoGP as a guest of Liberty Media and was even involved in negotiations in the category. Just last weekend, he appeared for the first time in Formula E, in Monaco, at the invitation of Liberty Global.
In an interview with talkSPORT, the former executive highlighted that he has been enjoying the period away from F1 pressure: “I’m enjoying some time off, and it’s very nice to be at a race where you have zero pressure. Normally, standing on this grid, you would be worried about the next two hours, but for me, I’m just here to learn a bit more about Formula E.”

Horner also mentioned that he has been dedicating more time to his family and following Coventry City, which secured promotion to the Premier League: “And, look, for the first time in 30 years, I had some time off, especially with my family, so it’s been good.”
So far, Horner’s destination is uncertain. Despite rumors that he might buy a part of Alpine in F1, the Brit remains silent about his next steps.
