NASCAR Brasil traveled to the municipality of Cascavel, in western Paraná, for the second stage of the 2026 season, where a race that started at sunset on Saturday (02) marked the first race of the weekend.

Current leader of the Challenge division, the São Paulo driver Witold Ramasauskas (Shield Bank, Taxation Mind, Ballena, Joy Tubos, Maxim Cimentos Especiais, BSS Blindagens, Travelex Confidence Bank, Rochmont Group and Contel Telecom) raced with an additional 30kg in his car, the so-called “success ballast,” which made life difficult for the driver of car #11 from Team RC.
Starting in 9th place, Witold had to make a recovery race in the event that began on a wet track and gradually dried with each lap; the driver even jumped to the top positions after the last restart of the race, which was marked by many contacts, but finished in 7th place.
In the last race of the weekend held on Sunday morning (03), Ramasauskas once again had to race with the goal of scoring points for the championship. Even with the extra weight on his Chevrolet Camaro, the driver made a very aggressive and precise race, receiving the checkered flag in third place.

The podium at the Zilmar Beux Autodrome in Cascavel – the third in the 2026 season – kept Witold in the lead of the NASCAR Brasil Challenge division, now with a 12-point advantage over the second place.
“It was a very difficult weekend, with our car suffering from low engine performance in addition to the extra 30 kilos of success ballast. Even so, I managed to save good points for the championship as well as a podium in the second stage with several accidents, including myself who was also involved,” commented Ramasauskas. “Now it’s time to focus on the next stage that will take place in Interlagos, my home track where I arrive in the lead and once again want to put on a good performance, even keeping the extra 30 kilos in São Paulo,” concluded the driver.
The next stage of NASCAR Brasil will take place at the Interlagos Autodrome (SP) on May 29, 30, and 31, where Witold Ramasauskas hopes to put on a good show in front of his São Paulo fans.
