With the 2026 Formula 1 season about to begin, all the team car names have already been released. While some chassis had been known for months, Cadillac was the last to reveal the name of its car, the MAC-26, in honor of former driver and 1978 F1 champion Mario Andretti, who played a key role in the formation of the American team and serves as executive consultant.

The teams mostly followed the tradition of naming their cars based on a continuous theme, changing only the year number for each new model. However, Audi, making its F1 debut after the acquisition of Sauber, established its own trend with the name R26 for its car.
