The result reinforces a Saturday of important adjustments for the Italian team, which managed to evolve throughout the day. Still, the performance in Q3 made it clear that there is potential to be explored, especially on a weekend with variable conditions.

In the Sprint, Hamilton started seventh and had an intense battle with Max Verstappen in the first laps. The Red Bull driver managed to overtake him but had to give the position back after going off track, before retaking the spot shortly after.

In the main qualifying, the Brit advanced to Q3 after good laps in the initial segments. In Q2, he showed competitive performance but lost pace in the final phase and finished sixth, even slightly improving his time.

“Qualifying was an improvement for us. We made many changes to the car before the session and it got much better, especially in Q2,” Hamilton said. “Q3 was harder and I couldn’t extract the maximum performance, so there is still more to come.”

The team principal, Fred Vasseur, highlighted the evolution but emphasized that there is still a lot of work ahead. “Today we saw a very different result from yesterday, which shows that we are still understanding the cars. The important thing is to maintain consistency, score points, and evolve step by step,” he said.

With positive signs and performance evolution, Ferrari bets on further progress to try to advance in the Miami GP.
