AMattheis Vogel driver in NASCAR Brazil, Gabriel Casagrande won the NASCAR Brazil Sunset Race, held this Saturday (2) at the Zilmar Beux Autodrome in Cascavel (PR), which opened the second stage of the 2026 season. The Paraná native started from second position, took the lead on the first lap, and showed a dominant performance to claim the top spot on the podium.

“Very happy and satisfied with the work, I can only thank the team for the excellent car they gave me, the sponsors for the support, everyone who cheered. I think we had this victory shout stuck in our throat and today we won in a very beautiful way, taking first position right on the first lap,” details Gabriel Casagrande, who is sponsored by Baterias Júpiter, Axalta, OnPetro, STP, Cresol, RP Info, UFI Filters, Chevrolet, and OMP.
The owner of car number 83 also highlighted the level of difficulty of the race in western Paraná, mainly due to the pack and the challenge of maintaining the lead throughout the more than 20 minutes of competition on the 3,058-meter circuit.

“The car was very well set up, the races here are always very tight, the car creates a lot of slipstream, so it’s quite complicated to run in first, but it’s the best position we can be in, so I’m very happy, very satisfied and relieved. And now we go to the next one, because there’s more tomorrow,” adds Casagrande, champion of the NASCAR Brazil Special Edition in the last three seasons.
