Gabriel Bortoleto had a lap time far from expected for the Miami Grand Prix of Formula 1. This Saturday afternoon (2), the Brazilian recorded a time of 1min33s737 and will start only in 22nd position.

The Miami Grand Prix of Formula 1 is initially scheduled to take place at 5 pm Brasília time. However, due to the possibility of a storm, the FIA will hold a meeting to decide whether to change the time.

As with the other sessions of the weekend, the weather was quite hot in Florida. The thermometer showed 34ºC while the asphalt was around 52ºC.
The first phase of qualifying in Miami has started. However, after the first few minutes, Bortoleto’s car remained disassembled and the driver was outside watching the session.
With just over seven minutes remaining in the first phase, activity inside the Audi garage increased. The Brazilian was already inside the car, indicating a possible run.

Gabriel managed to leave the Audi garage for a quick attempt. The Brazilian would have to beat Esteban Ocon’s 1min30s293 to place himself among the top 16 fastest and advance to Q2.
When he completed his only attempt, then, a frustrating result: Bortoleto will start only from 22nd, and last, position on the grid at the Miami Grand Prix of Formula 1.
At the end, Gabriel also came on the radio saying the brakes were on fire. The engineer asked to cool them down and the driver said he was trying, stopping on the track.
