Alpine had a positive Friday in the Sprint classification of the Miami GP of Formula 1, placing both of its cars in SQ3. Despite difficulties throughout the session, the team came out strengthened and confident for the rest of the weekend.

The result reinforces the competitiveness of the package on different circuits and keeps the team in the fight for points. In a Sprint format, where there is little time for adjustments, consistent performance gains even more value.
Pierre Gasly finished tenth, but was not completely satisfied with the car: “I am a bit disappointed with the final result, I felt there was more potential if we had time to fix some discomforts since the session,” he said. The Frenchman reported a lot of lack of grip, something the team intends to fix before the next sessions.

As for Franco Colapinto, eighth placed, he celebrated the progress throughout the day: “I am happy with the result and the way we managed to react, it was difficult at the beginning, but we found improvements and gained rhythm and confidence,” he said. The Argentine also highlighted the importance of saving a set of soft tires for this Saturday’s Sprint race.
The team’s sporting director, Steve Nielsen, praised the collective performance and highlighted the technical progress: “Having both cars in SQ3 is very positive, especially with other teams bringing updates. Franco did a great job and we are in the fight for points,” he concluded. According to him, the team will continue working to reduce the gap to direct competitors.
