Gabriel Bortoleto evaluated the specific changes made by the FIA in the new Formula 1 regulations. At the beginning of the Miami GP weekend, the Brazilian sees the path in the right direction, although he believes there are few changes.

The new set of rules for 2026 drew numerous criticisms, especially from drivers – Max Verstappen was one of the most critical. So, after the first three rounds of the championship, the governing body used the April break to meet with the teams and discuss changes.
After the meetings and discussions, changes were applied and come into effect from this weekend’s round, which marks the return of Formula 1.
Evaluating the specific adjustments during a press conference this Thursday (30) in Miami, Bortoleto pointed out that they are not big, but it is a good first step for the category.

“I think they are going in the right direction. They went in the direction the drivers asked for. We still need to go to the track to see how it affects the car,” he said.
“In the end, the only way to give an appropriate answer is when we drive and if we feel a difference, which I think will happen. I don’t think it will change much, they are small changes, but in the right direction,” he added.
