The change involves the operation of the straight-line mode zones, a novelty introduced in 2026. The Miami circuit will feature three sections of this system, including the main straight, a sector between turns 8 and 11, and the opposite straight.

The central point of the discussion is precisely the second zone, which may be deactivated in case of a wet track for safety reasons. If this happens, teams will receive specific authorization to adjust the front ride height of the cars, even under ‘Parc Fermé’ rules.
