It will then pass through Florida between Saturday night and Sunday morning, reaching the city in time for the 57-lap race.
The recent history reinforces the alert. In 2025, the Sprint in Miami was affected by heavy rain, with a delayed start and an incident involving Charles Leclerc, who crashed on the formation lap after aquaplaning. Even so, the track dried quickly and allowed the use of dry-weather tires at the end.
