Jorge Martelli arrives confident for the second stage of NASCAR Brasil 2026, which takes place this weekend, May 2 and 3, at the Zilmar Beux International Racetrack, in Cascavel. The driver, two-time champion of the category, highlights his good history on the Paraná track and the expectation of a competitive performance.

“Cascavel is a track I really like, I’ve always managed to drive well there. It’s a fast track that demands confidence, especially in the Bacião, where you need to be precise and courageous at the same time,” says Martelli.
The stage will have an important differential: Saturday’s race will be held in the late afternoon and extend into the night, a condition in which the driver has already had good results. Last season, he reached the podium in the NASCAR Brasil 100 Miles in a night race on the same circuit.
“Racing at the end of the day, with the track changing and the temperature dropping, is always a unique challenge. Last year we achieved a podium in a night race here, so that gives us extra confidence. We know the way and we want to repeat or even improve that result,” he adds.

The driver of the Team RC Chevrolet Camaro #87 also highlighted the team’s work after the opening stage, focusing on adjustments for Cascavel’s high-speed characteristics.
“The team has worked hard since the first stage. We made some adjustments specifically for Cascavel, mainly to have a more stable car in fast corners. The grid is very balanced, so every detail makes a difference,” he explains.
Martelli reinforces that consistency will be decisive this weekend. “The idea is to have a consistent weekend, take advantage of opportunities and be competitive all the time. If everything fits, we have the conditions to fight for a place among the top,” he concludes.
