The German team started the season with absolute dominance, winning the first three races, with victories for George Russell in the opener and Kimi Antonelli in the following two rounds. The Italian leads the championship, while Mercedes also appears comfortable at the top among constructors.
Even so, Norris sees an opportunity if the two Mercedes drivers continue to compete point by point: “The more they fight, the better for us,” said the Briton, highlighting that the balance between the two could directly impact the standings throughout the season.

The McLaren driver also praised Antonelli’s performance, who is only in his second season in the category: “He is doing a great job and has found a strong pace, consistently fighting with George, which is good for us,” he added.
Norris acknowledged that McLaren started the year at a disadvantage, but believes in recovery after recent progress, especially at the Japanese GP.
