Ferrari is in full swing with preparations for the return of the 2026 Formula 1 season. This Wednesday (22), the Italian team went to the track in Monza, Italy, for another day of filming, and among the tests is a new version of the ‘Macarena’ rear wing.

The innovation was first seen during the pre-season in Bahrain. The wing, which turns 180º and goes upside down, however, has not yet been seen in any race, despite having appeared on race weekends this championship.
And for this Wednesday’s activities, only Charles Leclerc will drive the SF-26, despite Lewis Hamilton being at the circuit accompanying the activities.
So, according to the Italian website AutoRacer, Ferrari is testing some new components that could be on the car in Miami in early May. The main focus is on the updated version of the ‘Macarena’ wing – the part was developed to solve problems found in the previous version.

According to estimates, the new component can provide a top speed gain of between 8 to 10 km/h when ‘straight mode’ is activated.
Also according to AutoRacer, Ferrari has also reduced the car’s weight, which could yield a performance gain of approximately 0.1s compared to the first three rounds of the Formula 1 season.
