The performance reinforces the driver’s versatility and raises comparisons about his quick adaptation to different types of cars. Even outside F1, Verstappen continues to show a high competitive level.
One of the main rivals in these duels was Christopher Haase, who faced the four-time champion in recent direct disputes. According to the German, Verstappen’s ability to keep up in high-speed sections immediately caught attention.
“When I looked in the mirrors, I saw that he could keep up very well in some fast sections,” Haase stated. He highlighted corners like Mutkurve, Flugplatz, and Schwedenkreuz as points where the Dutchman’s performance was most impressive.

Other drivers also reacted to the performance of the current Red Bull driver, with comments ranging from surprise to humor. Some even suggested there was some “trick,” while others highlighted Verstappen’s courage in the battles.
For Haase, however, the main merit lies in the quick adaptation to a completely different scenario. He emphasized that, even among experienced professionals, it is not common to see someone reach this level so early, especially when dealing with dirty air at high speed.
