A poll showed that the majority of Formula 1 fans believe Ferrari should focus on Max Verstappen as a possible future reinforcement. According to the survey, conducted by the website RacingNews365, 69.7% of respondents advocate that the Italian team try to sign the four-time world champion if Lewis Hamilton retires. Only 30.3% consider Oliver Bearman, currently at Haas, a viable alternative to replace the seven-time champion.

The result also indicates that the Red Bull four-time world champion is seen as the ideal name to partner with Charles Leclerc, reinforcing the preference for an already established driver instead of a young bet.
Lewis Hamilton, currently 41 years old, has a contract with Ferrari until 2027, with a unilateral option for the last season, according to information. The Briton stated before the Australian GP that he intends to continue in Formula 1 until the category returns to Africa, saying he will not leave the sport without achieving this milestone.

Max Verstappen, in turn, has left open the possibility of driving for Ferrari in the future, although he stressed that there are no talks at the moment due to current contracts. He also stated that there are “many chances in life for any kind of decision” and said he does not know how long he will continue in Formula 1.
