Red Bull Racing announced important changes in its technical structure in Formula 1, aiming to strengthen performance and accelerate car development. The team implemented an immediate internal reorganization and also confirmed the arrival of a new name to strengthen the department.

These changes are part of a long-term strategy focused on innovation and integration between technical areas. The team highlighted that the new structure aims to accelerate the creation of competitive solutions and keep Red Bull among the main forces on the grid.
With immediate effect, Ben Waterhouse takes on an expanded role as Chief Performance and Design Engineer, becoming generally responsible for the Vehicle Design and Performance areas. He will report directly to technical director Pierre Waché, strengthening the connection between key development sectors.
Waterhouse has been part of Red Bull’s structure since 2014, when he arrived after a stint at BMW-Sauber, initially as deputy technical director of then Toro Rosso (now Racing Bulls). Since 2017, he served as head of performance engineering for the main team, accumulating experience in different technical areas.
According to the team, this organizational change aims to increase integration between departments and accelerate the development of competitive and high-performance solutions. The expectation is that the new structure will directly contribute to technical efficiency and car progress.

In addition to the internal promotion, Red Bull also confirmed the arrival of Andrea Landi as Head of Performance starting July 1st. The professional will report directly to Waterhouse and comes with extensive experience in Formula 1.
Landi previously served as deputy head of vehicle performance at Ferrari and also held the position of deputy technical director at Racing Bulls. The team highlighted that his experience will be important to further strengthen performance capabilities.
According to Red Bull, the changes are part of the team’s long-term technical ambitions and reflect the strategy of developing internal talents while attracting experienced specialists from the paddock. The reorganization reinforces the team’s commitment to innovation and continuous competitiveness in Formula 1.
