The news of ‘GP’s’ departure from Red Bull came as a big surprise in the paddock. The Dutch press brought the first information and reported that Max Verstappen’s race engineer would say goodbye to the Austrian team at the end of the 2027 season to join the papaya team in 2028.

Then, a few hours later, the confirmations came. The multi-champion from Milton Keynes released a brief text confirming the rumors, but reinforcing that until the move, Lambiase continues in his role alongside the four-time champion and as a race engineer.
