Ayao Komatsu spoke about Haas’s good form at the start of the 2026 Formula 1 season. The director pointed out how challenging it will be to always maintain good performance, but is satisfied with the first races.

The championship has already held the Australian, Chinese, and Japanese GPs, with the United States team scoring 18 points so far, two more than Alpine. As a result, it appears in fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship.
But despite Haas’s very promising start in F1 2026, Komatsu acknowledged that maintaining this form for the next 19 races until the end of the year will be complicated.

“This year will be a very difficult development battle and, as a small team, it will be very challenging. But we started the year very well. This kind of result doesn’t happen every year,” he said.
