This initiative, called: ‘Mercado Libre presents: Franco Colapinto Road Show Buenos Aires 2026’, will transform part of the Argentine capital into a street circuit. The action seeks to bring local fans closer to Formula 1, which is currently experiencing one of its periods of greatest global growth.
Colapinto will drive the 2012 E20 car, equipped with a Renault V8 engine, with the official Alpine livery. The event will be held in the Palermo neighborhood, where the Argentine driver will perform demonstrations on the streets, marking an unprecedented moment for the country’s motorsport.
With this, Colapinto will become the first Argentine driver to drive a Formula 1 car on the streets of Buenos Aires. The feat promises to attract great attention from the local public, known for their strong passion for motorsport.
“Driving at home with a Formula 1 car will be one of the most special moments of my life. It is my way of giving back, even if just a little, all the support and affection I have received since I was very young, which drives me every day to continue dreaming of achieving all my career goals,” said Colapinto.

The Argentine also highlighted the bond with the fans and the importance of the event: “Every message, every flag, and every bit of support has always been there. This is for all of you, so we can enjoy this special moment together,” he added.
As part of the event, Avenida del Libertador and Avenida Sarmiento will be transformed into a two-kilometer street circuit. The program will feature two official demonstrations, considered the highlight of the day.
In addition to the exhibitions on the ‘track’, the festival will have experiences for fans and guests, a forum with the public, and musical attractions. The event will also have institutional support from the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, which seeks to position the capital as a host for major international events.
