F1: TV Globo grows average audience for the time slot in São Paulo by 25% with the Japanese GP

Globo enjoyed good numbers during the broadcast of the Formula 1 Japanese GP last Sunday (29). The Rio-based broadcaster increased the audience in the time slot, 2:14 am to 3:43 am, of the race in São Paulo by 25% compared to the previous four Saturdays.

The race in Suzuka marked the victory of Kimi Antonelli with Oscar Piastri in second and Charles Leclerc completing the podium. And its broadcast on free-to-air TV scored 5 points and a 27% share among São Paulo residents.

Not only that, it also set an audience and share record for Japanese GPs since October 2019, among residents of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In Rio de Janeiro, the Japanese race reached three points and a 21% share.

Now, Formula 1 enters a month-long forced break due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian GPs because of the war in the Middle East. The next stage is the Miami GP on the first weekend of May.
