After the 50G accident at the Japanese GP last Sunday (29), at the Suzuka Circuit, British driver Oliver Bearman stated he is fine and spoke about how he intends to use the period without races in April to recover.

The incident happened when Bearman needed to make a maneuver before the Spoon curve and ended up going onto the grass, colliding with the barrier. Despite the impact, he left the track limping and without further problems. “Yes, everything is fine, first of all. I am perfectly fine. It was a scary moment that happened there, but everything is fine, which is the most important thing,” the driver told the press.
Bearman also commented on the damage to his team: “I could only apologize from the bottom of my heart to the team for this, because it’s a lot of work for them.”

With the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian GPs canceled in April, the Haas driver revealed that his plans for next month have changed. “Yes, I think they changed a bit. I’m definitely going to take a few days off to rest and recover and make sure I feel better. But then, as usual, start preparing for the next race.”
The Briton highlighted that, despite the scare, the priority is to recover physically before resuming training and preparation for the following stages of the season.
