The Austrian and the Briton starred in a strong clash in recent years of F1 in a great rivalry. It turns out that after the 2025 British GP, Horner was dismissed by the multi-champion team immediately, being replaced by Lauren Mekies.
Since then, rumors have emerged in the press linking the former team principal to various teams such as Alpine and Aston Martin, but nothing has materialized. And for Wolff, nothing should happen for Horner.
“He broke a lot of glass, and those things have repercussions in our microcosm,” he said in an interview with the Press Association. “His personality was clearly very controversial, and that is good for the sport,” he continued.

“Would I consider that he could be an ally or someone with whom I shared goals? I don’t think so. But even when I felt the greatest frustration and anger towards him, you have to remember that even your worst enemy has a best friend, so there must be some goodness in him.”
“If there hadn’t been this competitive rivalry for so many years, and if there were more calm, I’m sure I could have had dinner with him and had a good laugh. It was all very intense, very fierce, and things happened that, even today, I cannot understand why he did them,” he continued.
“I don’t know if he is getting back on his feet, and in what role. I certainly wish him no harm. And we need to give each other credit. There aren’t many team principals who have done what he did,” he concluded.
