The return will not be for an official race, but for a Pirelli tire test, scheduled for the week the Saudi Arabian GP was originally supposed to take place. The round was canceled due to the conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran affecting much of the Middle East territory. Therefore, teams like Mercedes will be present to take advantage of the break of more than a month without races to accumulate mileage.
The activity will not be on the Nordschleife layout. Recently, the German circuit has returned to the spotlight because of four-time champion Max Verstappen, who recently competed in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and will compete in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring this season.
