Cadillac had its most consistent race of the current Formula 1 season so far, with both cars completing the Japanese GP and clear signs of performance evolution. Even outside the points zone, the team highlighted important advances and projected improvements with updates planned for Miami.

Sergio Perez, who finished 17th, evaluated the result as the most positive of the year so far. The Mexican highlighted recent progress and the fact that the team once again brought both cars to the checkered flag: “Today was our strongest race so far this year. We have made a lot of progress in a short time and we can be happy to bring two cars to the end again,” he stated. The Mexican driver also highlighted that the problems seen previously were resolved during the race.
According to Perez, performance improved relative to direct rivals: “Yesterday we had some problems and today we felt we were in control. We were clearly faster than Aston Martin and we can see that our pace is getting stronger,” he said, also showing confidence in the updates planned for the next round in Miami.
Valtteri Bottas, who finished 19th, also highlighted the positive result with both cars completing the race: “Another result with both cars reaching the end is very good for the team. I had a bit less performance, which made it difficult to challenge the Aston Martin cars today, so it’s something we need to analyze,” he stated.

The Finn explained that the strategy adopted did not work as expected: “We tried a different strategy starting on hard tires, but unfortunately it didn’t work. Still, the weekend was cleaner, with fewer problems, and we learned a lot to improve for the next race,” he added.
Team principal Graeme Lowdon evaluated the performance as another important step in the team’s debut F1 season: “Today’s result concludes another strong weekend for us. Only three races into our debut season and we can already be proud of another result with both cars completing the race,” he stated.
Lowdon also highlighted the team’s overall evolution and expectations for the updates: “I am particularly pleased to see another significant step in execution and reliability. We have an update package coming for Miami and I am excited to see what that can deliver,” the team principal concluded.
