“A strong day for the team, with many positives. I had a great start and we were able to show a bit more of our competitive pace, especially in clean air. I am pleased with how we managed the tires and that we were able to overtake Lewis in the final laps. Clearly, we have made significant progress with the development of our power unit, and this track suited our car well,” he said.

“Second and fifth places are a good result and a sign of the hard work the team is putting in, so I thank them. It is a sign that we are on the right track. Now, we will head back to the factory and work hard during this long period without races, with the goal of returning in Miami in the best possible shape,” he added.
