Isack Hadjar had nothing he could do to avoid the spin he suffered at the start of the Formula 1 Chinese GP. The Red Bull Frenchman explained how the car was complicated to drive and that it caught him by surprise shortly after the start.

As soon as the lights went out in Shanghai, the competitor fell to the back of the pack after a mistake made in a fight with Oliver Bearman. In the move, he spun 180º at turn 13 and the Haas opponent managed to avoid the collision, which prevented a double retirement.
“The car was very difficult to drive [on Sunday], much more than in the previous two days. It caught me by surprise on the first lap and, throughout the race, I was fighting against it,” Hadjar explained.

“It was very sudden, the way the car escaped my control. I didn’t have time to react. The car simply spun and I lost the race,” he added.
In the end, the Red Bull driver crossed the finish line in eighth place, being the only driver from the team to have finished the race – Max Verstappen retired with car problems.
