The start of the Chinese GP was quite tumultuous – and the start hadn’t even been authorized this Sunday (15). No fewer than four drivers were unable to participate in the Formula 1 race in Shanghai.

Even before heading to the grid, McLaren reported that Lando Norris’s car had electrical problems and tried to resolve the issue. However, even with more than 20 minutes until the start of the race, they were unable to get the car on track.
Then, while on the grid, it was Oscar Piastri’s turn to also have issues with his car. The Australian was on the grid when his car was pushed to the pitlane and, shortly after, the confirmation of the retirement of the papaya duo.

At Audi, it was Gabriel Bortoleto who was unable to run the Chinese race. The Brazilian was also on the grid when, before the formation lap, he was taken to the pits, without specifications of the problem, and could not try to fight in Shanghai.
Finally, Williams also had a casualty even before the start of the second round of Formula 1. Alexander Albon. Without explaining much, the Anglo-Thai, who was already going to start from the pits, did not race this Sunday in Shanghai.
