Alan Permane, head of Racing Bulls, evaluated the intense week of the Australian GP and projected the team’s preparation for the next Formula 1 challenge in Shanghai.

“Reflecting on an intense but strong week in Melbourne, we learned a lot about how our car works and about the new 2026 rules. We know we brought some very successful updates and we are confident for the arrival of the next improvements,” Permane stated.
The official commented on the challenge of the weekend with a Sprint race in China, where the team will have only one free practice session to test the cars and power units: “This week in Shanghai presents us with a very different challenge, with the Sprint format. We will have only one practice session to test the cars, but with our colleagues from Red Bull Powertrains-Ford I am confident that we are well prepared with the engines and we have done many simulations,” he added.

Permane also explained that the team has already investigated the start problem faced by Liam Lawson in Australia: “We investigated Liam’s problem at the start last week and we fully understand the cause. We are certain that this problem will not occur again,” concluded the Racing Bulls boss.
