After the Spanish GP, held last Sunday (13) at Madring, the category will have a one-week break before returning to the tracks for the Azerbaijan GP, the 15th round of the 2026 season.

The next race will be held in Baku between September 24 and 26. And there is an important peculiarity: exceptionally, the Grand Prix will take place on Saturday, not Sunday. The change means that the entire weekend schedule is moved forward by one day.
Thus, the cars hit the track already on Thursday (24), with FP1 at 8:30 AM and FP2 at 12:00 PM, always Brasília time. On Friday (25), FP3 starts at 8:30 AM, while qualifying that will define the grid is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
The race will be held on Saturday (26), starting at 11:00 AM Brasília time. There will be 51 laps around the Baku City Circuit, which is 6.003 km long, totaling just over 306 km of racing.

The weekend will have a conventional format, without Sprint. The difference is precisely in the distribution of activities between Thursday and Saturday, instead of the traditional Friday to Sunday schedule.
The round comes after Formula 1’s first visit to Madring, where Kimi Antonelli won the Spanish GP. Max Verstappen finished second, while Lando Norris completed the podium after having started from pole position and led the first part of the race.
Baku also opens a new sequence in the season. After Azerbaijan, Formula 1 will head to Sepang, where the Bahrain GP will be exceptionally held in Malaysia between October 2 and 4. The following week, between October 9 and 11, it will be the turn of the Singapore GP.
