Arthur Gama arrives at the final stage of the NASCAR Brasil Series regular season eyeing the championship lead. Second place with 163 points, the Cavaleiro Sports driver will have 75 points at stake on September 19 and 20, at the Circuito dos Cristais, in Curvelo (MG).

The round also defines the 12 drivers who advance to the Playoffs and receive the 20-point bonus for qualifying. After winning in Cuiabá, Gama returns to an exciting oval circuit to seek another good result and try to regain the top of the standings.
“The expectation is to return to the top of the championship. With 75 points at stake, we have good possibilities. I like ovals and I come excited after the victory in Cuiabá. We go all out in Curvelo,” says Gama.
With the two discards already applied, Gabriel Casagrande leads the championship with 193 points. Gama is 30 points behind, while Thiago Camilo is third, with 161. Nicolas Costa and Vitor Genz complete the top five.

Besides the fight for the lead, Gama already starts to project what lies ahead in the Playoffs. In the view of the gaucho driver, consistency will be fundamental in the title fight, as well as attention to the main rivals.
“In the Playoffs, intelligence and consistency will count a lot. It is necessary to score points in all stages and closely mark the direct rivals. In the end, this can make the difference in the title fight,” says the gaucho driver.
In Curvelo, qualifying will have an important weight on the weekend’s result. The session will distribute 25 points, while each of the two races will be worth another 25. With 75 points at stake, the stage can cause significant changes in the standings before the start of the decisive phase.
