The Italian from Mercedes has impressed in just his second year in the category. Of the 14 races contested so far, he has managed to win no less than eight, with the Italian GP being one of the most impressive, as he started 19th and won in front of the home crowd.


But for the German who also drove for Mercedes, at some point the young 20-year-old will feel the pressure of chasing his first trophy in F1. “We are all human. He is not Superman. I felt a huge fear that made it difficult to drive properly,” he told Sy Sports.

“The closer I got to the end of the season, the more impossible it seemed to win races or secure pole position, because the fear of losing my dream due to a silly mistake, or something that can easily happen, dominated my mind,” he added.
