Kimi Antonelli admitted that he was confused after Max Verstappen made a move on the fourth lap of the Spanish Grand Prix in Formula 1. The Dutchman had gone off track ahead of Lewis Hamilton on the first lap and was then ordered by Red Bull to give back his position.

The four-time world champion was forced to make an evasive maneuver to avoid a collision with the British Ferrari driver at turn 1. Max returned ahead of Lewis before taking second place.
Verstappen did not like the request and complained on the radio. He eventually complied but had to let Antonelli and the seven-time world champion pass, dropping to fourth. When asked about the Red Bull driver’s move, Kimi said, “I was a bit confused because I didn’t think he overtook me off track. The overtake was normal, so at first, I was a bit confused.”

“But then he told me he had to give the position back to Lewis. So, you know, it was a somewhat strange situation, especially for him, since Lewis was also facing brake problems,” he continued,
“So, that’s why I think today… the win, as I said, is great, but it wasn’t the way I wanted to win,” he concluded.
