Charles Leclerc stated that he is fine after the severe crash suffered at the Italian Grand Prix of Formula 1. The Monegasque lost control of the Ferrari while battling for position with Oscar Piastri and hit the barrier at the final corner of Monza.

Despite the violence of the impact, Leclerc managed to get out of the car on his own. After being evaluated by the circuit doctor, he revealed that he had vision problems in the first minutes after the accident, which led to the need for additional tests before the Spanish GP, in Madrid.
In a social media post, however, the driver indicated he is in good condition. “It was not how I wanted the weekend to end. Thank you for all the messages. Physically, it was a strong impact, but I am fine,” he said.

Leclerc also highlighted the emotional weight of the accident for having happened in front of the Ferrari fans. “Emotionally, it hurts even more for something like this to happen here at home, in front of all of you, the tifosi. Thank you for the incredible reception and support throughout the weekend. Monza with you is always something very special.”
The definitive confirmation about his participation in Madrid still depends on the additional evaluations mentioned by the driver himself after the race. Leclerc arrives at the next weekend occupying fifth position in the drivers’ championship.
