Lewis Hamilton responded firmly to a question from the press after the Italian Grand Prix of Formula 1, when asked about possible cultural problems within Ferrari. The British driver defended the team’s work and stated that he does not intend to fuel discussions about internal conflicts.

Ferrari had a complicated weekend in Monza, with Hamilton finishing only in sixth position and Charles Leclerc retiring from the race after the severe crash he suffered shortly after, still in the first lap. The result also harmed Hamilton’s already reduced chances in the title fight, leaving him 76 points behind Kimi Antonelli.
When asked by journalists if there is a cultural problem within Ferrari that is hindering the team’s progress, Hamilton answered directly: “I know what you are trying to do. I don’t want to get into discussions and fights about my team,” he said.
The experienced driver emphasized that he is committed to helping Ferrari reach a higher competitive level and avoided directing criticism at team members: “We didn’t do so well here in Italy, and it’s already painful enough to keep pressuring my guys. They go back to their families and are working very, very hard,” he said.

Hamilton, however, acknowledged that changes are necessary, especially in how decisions and information are handled by the Italian team: “In the end, it comes from the top. Decisions go down, so it starts with Fred,” he added, referring to Ferrari’s leadership.
The seven-time world champion also stated that the team needs to review its procedures to prevent the same problems from continuing to happen: “If we keep going the same way, we will have the same result. We have to change things because this is not helping us move forward,” Hamilton concluded.
