The 45-year-old two-time world champion is weighing his future, without making any decision as the 2026 season approaches its conclusion. So far, he has scored only three points in 13 rounds, his worst campaign since his debut in 2001 with Minardi.
Big announcements usually happen during home rounds, but when asked in Monza if he has anything planned for Madrid, Alonso simply replied “no.”

Regarding the excitement about Madrid’s debut on the Formula 1 calendar, he commented that “looking ahead, I think, of the remaining races, we know there will be weekends where we will struggle and others that will be better,” he said.
